Friends of St Mary's Church, Halesworth
Folded and stitched A5 programme created for a mediaeval play held at St Mary's Church as part of the Heritage Open Days in Halesworth during 2019. Cover: Elements of the design were based on carved stone features inside of St Mary's Church in Halesworth. The mediaeval play itself was based on a moment in the life of Sir William and Dame Margery Argentine, respected townsfolk associated with Halesworth for 300 years, when their only son died in the Battle of Agincourt 1415. There are stone carvings in the church of Sir William and Dame Margery and of their crest. These were digitally recreated along with beautiful stone carvings of roses as decorative elements, and a carved stone archway also from inside the church was again digitally recreated to frame the cover. I used some suitably mediaeval-style fonts including: 'Goudy Medieval' and 'Ale and Wenches' for both the cover text and for the headings inside. Inside: Text supplied by client, laid out and pages numbered. Various images based on carvings also recreated. Actual size of programme A4 folded to A5 Click to download PDF |
